Our community is important to us because it is exactly that, our community. As most of our staff are residents in Winchester and the surrounding villages we are always looking for ways to make a difference where we can in our community.
So, in April this year we were delighted, to yet again sponsor the Fulflood Ball held at Peter Symonds College. This fantastic event is the mastermind of the Fulflood Ball committee team who come up with inventive ideas to make this event a memorable magical evening. Each year the committee nominate a charity to benefit from the proceeds raised and this year they chose Street Reach.
Street Reach detached youth work project are a local Winchester based charity that aim is to help vulnerable young people in a targeted way, with detached youth work, workshops and residential trips. By building important and trusting relationships with these young adults; youth workers aim to help them overcome the difficulties that they face.
Belgarum Estate Agents has been the primary sponsor of the Fuflood Ball for the last four years, providing much needed funding to help ensure that the event is spectacular; not without the input of the committee mind! Our commitment to sponsoring events such as this enables us to indirectly give back to those in need, in Winchester and to try to help make a difference.
We were ecstatic to hear from the Fulflood Ball Committee that this year’s event raised a total of £23,000 for Street Reach, a fantastic amount of money for a very worthy cause. We would like to say thank you to the committee for allowing us to be involved and congratulate them on their efforts in raising this total.
