Six miles to the North of Winchester is the picturesque village of Micheldever. Prehistoric man was here, as were the Romans. Originally a farming community, the village and its properties have developed over the years and are served by a school, shop, pub, two village halls and a mainline station (London Waterloo 1 hour). Micheldever Woods becomes a beautiful carpet of blue in spring as the rare and protected species of wild bluebells are in abundance.
